Job Introduction

Skipton Building Society has an exciting new opportunity in our Reward and Governance Team.  

Working with a small team of Reward professionals the successful applicant will enjoy a busy and varied role providing first class support across all aspects of our colleague reward and benefits package.

You will need to be passionate about service delivery and service excellence as you approach the many different challenges offered by the role.  Liaising with both internal colleagues and managers and external suppliers you will find yourself supporting the efficient management of our pay processes, the effective and engaging communication of our colleague benefits package and the successful maintenance of our many governance frameworks.

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Administrative support relating to the planning, implementation and delivery of the key annual reward activities including annual pay review, annual bonus and annual holiday trading activities
  • Support with the re-design of the Society’s My Rewards Intranet pages ensuring the benefit promotion material is accurate, easy to use and engaging.
  • Management of Society’s participation in agreed salary survey and benchmarking submissions
  • Support with the annual benefits renewal exercises acting as contact point for all benefit providers
  • Support in the communication of colleague benefits to help increase awareness and engagement with all employee benefits offered by the Society
  • The first point of contact for managing day to day queries on reward and benefits.
  • Administrative support for all the reward and regulatory governance frameworks and all associated processes.
  • Co-ordination and support of the Reward and Governance Meetings Schedule including diary management, meeting pack production, minute taking (where appropriate) and action tracking

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a self-motivated well organised individual who is able to manage a number of different activities at the same time.  The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills along with an appetite to learn how to operate new systems and technologies.   They will also be numerate, have good written skills with the ability to communicate effectively to our colleagues, managers and suppliers.

Experience of working in HR or Reward would be beneficial although not essential as full training will be provided. 

A flexible attitude to work would also be expected as the workloads can fluctuate throughout the year.
